Ageing: The wines see seasoned oak only. They age an average of 10 months in barrel. The blend is put together in February, and relaxes in stainless steel tank for six months further before bottling in August.
Vineyard & Vine Age: Fruit from Shiraz vines up to 70 years old, planted on our Rayner Vineyard on the southern edge of Blewitt Springs in McLaren Vale. Hand picked. In organic conversion. The majority of the vineyard has deep sandy soils, creating a lighter, fresh, pared-back style, yet with subtle complexity and complete structure.
