Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo

Chiusa Grande

Many rosés in the Adriatic are simply referred to as Cerasuolo, not to be confused with the wine Cerasuolo di Vittoria, both simply meaning, Cherry-like. This vegan-friendly example shows lovely fresh flowers, cherry (of course), as well as a light almond nuttiness and a minty lift. With a fresh palate and seductive mid-weight finish, this is fleshy yet lively, a dangerously quaffable patio wine that begs for Margherita pies or sardines with chimichurri. A bottle full of sunshine and relaxation.
